The Corsair 31 is a true long-range performance cruiser and racer. It features spacious cruising accommodations, standing headroom, efficiently laid out deck, high-performance sail plans, and it continues to develop over time, constantly incorporating improvements and refinements. The Corsair 31s are now available in four basic models, with different deck, interior and rig arrangements to meet the needs of cruisers, racers, and those who like to do a little of both: the Corsair 31 Center-Cockpit and CC Ultimate Cruiser, the Corsair 31 Aft-Cockpit cruiser, and the ALL NEW Corsair 31-1D pure performance machine.
All Corsair 31 models, like all other Corsairs, incorporate the exclusive folding system which enables them to be easily trailered. You can race or cruise with the wind and then return home on the highway in comfort, greatly extending your sailing horizons. The cockpit comfortably seats six adults, though this is seldom necessary as the broad decks and nets give the crew many other comfortable places to spread out and relax. Winches, halyards and sheets, and the controls for the daggerboard, rudder and outboard motor can all be operated from the cockpit. A transom swim step provides easy access on and off.

The Corsair 31UC (Ultimate Cruiser)
The Corsair 31 Ultimate Cruiser combines performance with the ultimate in cruising accommodations. The forepeak area houses the head, shower, wet/dry storage and hanging locker. This alternative interior layout allows for a full salon and aft cabin interior that is without obstruction. The Corsair 31 Ultimate Cruiser has full standing headroom, a hot and cold pressurized water system, and an optional gas cooker. As easy to trailer, beach and sail as her sisters, the Corsair 31 Ultimate Cruiser is the perfect boat to sail away on for a week, a month, or more. Can be ordered with carbon fiber rig and retractable bowsprit.

The Corsair 31CC (Center Cockpit) -
The Corsair 31 Center-cockpit cruiser is essentially an Ultimate Cruiser with the head moved from the forepeak and situated in the main cabin, forward to port. This allows for a V-berth in the forepeak. The Corsair 31CC can be ordered with a carbon rig and retractable bowsprit for lighter weight and increased speed; this was once referred to as the "R" version, no longer in production. Please note that all configurations of the Corsair 31 have PHRF ratings for racing but only the Corsair 31-1D is a one design class.

The Corsair 31AC (Aft Cockpit)
For high-performance cruising the Aft-Cockpit Corsair 31 offers a spacious cockpit, roomy and functional interior, and plenty of storage space below deck (a table and extra bunk slide completely out of the way when not in use). The Corsair 31AC is intended for the experienced sailor who wants the ultimate performance boat. It can be ordered with a carbon fiber rig and retractable bowsprit for lighter weight and increased speed; this was once referred to as the "R" version, no longer in production. The Corsair 31-1D (One Design Racer)
The brand new 2004 Corsair 31-1D extreme racing machine is Corsair's newest version of the venerable Corsair 31. Boasting what is arguably the best racing performance and handling a production sailboat can offer, it is ideal for the experienced sailor who wants the ultimate performance on the race course, faster than a 70-footer with a crew of three or four (that's affordable!). It comes only in the extended Aft-cockpit configuration, and enhanced performance comes from the streamlined interior void of cruising amenities, a carbon-fiber rig, retractable bowsprit, modified foil design, and a suite of racing sails including asymmetrical spinnaker and screacher. For the first time in Corsair Marine history, all new Corsair 31-1Ds will be delivered with a set of its one-design racing rules and specifications and certification that on delivery it fulfils these requirements. This new Corsair 31-1D is, as always, a dream to sail, trailer and launch.
