Spirited Catamarans Components

Component

The hull and deck components are produced in a modern purpose-designed factory in strict quality controlled conditions.

We now use the resin infusion process for the manufacture of our components. This guarantees build quality with far superior laminate quality and resin to glass ratios.

Laminate/Core consolidation is also ensured as is the added security of no air voids, giving assurance of waterproofing and eliminating risks of water ingress.
Because the Spirited 380 is designed to be beached, there is extra reinforcement laid into the hull mould to accommodate for this.

The hulls weigh in at approximately 135kg's each and the deck components weigh on average approximately 40kg's per part.

The internal surfaces of all Spirited parts are finished with peel ply, this material ensures the surface of the component remain protected until assembly.

The peel ply is simply trimmed with a Stanley knife in the local area of a bulkhead or part to be installed, leaving a clean, abraded surface ready for bonding, glassing/taping, fairing or any form of application.

Component2

The hull and deck components are built with a jointing recess moulded into the part which accepts the flat topside panel on the outer side of the hulls, creating a 'flush' join line requiring minimal fairing.

The entire order of hull and deck components fit into a 40 foot shipping container or a 40 foot pantec semi-trailer, enabling convenient shipping to anywhere in the world.

The components are well-supported while in transit with temporary frames/bulkheads installed to avoid damage underway.

Component3With the help of a few hands, the components can be easily unloaded on delivery.
